Interstate Power and Light Company is in the beginning stages of having two new telecommunications towers permitted in Hardin County, IA. To comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (PDF), they must gather comments from the public on how the new towers might affect any local historic properties.
Tower Site #1 Location
The first tower site is located approximately two miles west of Hubbard, IA at the corner of H Avenue and St Hwy 175. Its location is shown below outlined in red.
Tower Site #2 Location
The second tower site is located approximately half of a mile north and one mile west of Buckeye, IA on 190th Street. Its location is shown below outlined in red.
