We have our butterfly tags! Who's ready to come out and tag the last migratory monarchs of the year?
Hardin County Conservation's annual monarch tagging event will be at Calkins Nature Area on September 19th from 5:30 PM to sunset.
Families are encouraged to join us. Prior to tagging, we will do a short presentation on why it is important to tag and track these butterflies before they make their annual migration to the Oyamel fir forests of Mexico. You will not need to bring your own nets, we have plenty for people to use.
No RSVP is needed and the event is FREE.
