Hardin County Conservation has a mobile wildlife observatory - the perfect set up for photographers, families, or wildlife enthusiasts who would like to photograph or observe the interesting wildlife in Hardin County.
This is a small camouflaged trailer behind which people can sit to watch wildlife – often birds – without scaring the animals off.
The project was spearheaded by former Eldora resident and philanthropist Bob Gunderson, along with friends and family of Charles Ruby (including his brother, Dean Ruby). This observatory will move around Hardin County throughout the year. Check out the Conservation Facebook page for updates.
