Head out to Calkins' Nature Area for a fun day of fly fishing/fly tying on Sunday, September 15th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Learn about fishing for some of Iowa's trophy fish species, the flies that anglers often use to target these fish, and try out some of the equipment you'll need to haul in the catch of a lifetime.
Classes will be taught by fly anglers from northern and central Iowa. We will have trout, pike, and small mouth bass specialists on hand to help guide your tying and angling needs.
All ages are welcome, but there is a restriction of 15 people for the class. Kids are welcome to attend with their parents, kids get in free if accompanied by a registered adult. To sign up for the class, contact the nature center at 641-648-9878. Thanks!
