Be Cautious of CWD

Hunters, please remember that our county is so far clear of any CWD cases. If you’re traveling outside of the county to hunt, especially in a known infected area, take advantage of state resources to have your deer tested and the carcass disposed of properly. Returning an infected carcass from outside of the county to the Hardin County landscape will infect our area's deer population. This disease also spreads through vertical transmission, or from doe to fawn at birth, and is 100% fatal to our white tail deer and will spread through any other transmission of any bodily fluid or material.
