The Hardin County Sheriff's Office announces that plastic weapons permits are now available for purchase.
2018 Permits
If you applied for either a permit to acquire or a permit to carry after January 1st, 2018, the permit will arrive to your mailing address through the U.S. mail, from the State of Iowa.
Permits Purchased July 1st Through December 31st
If you applied for a permit to acquire or a permit to carry between July 1st and December 31st, 2017, your permit is here at the Sheriff's Office. Those permits can be picked up Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
Older Permits
Anyone who holds a valid permit and wishes to get a plastic permit, you may apply for a duplicate for a cost of $25.00.
