The Hardin County Conservation Board consists of 63 areas, totaling over 4,000 acres of timber, prairie, wetlands, parks, and campgrounds all surrounding the beautiful Iowa River. We are looking for outgoing and motivated individuals who are interested in gaining experience in many different aspects of park and natural resource management. 

The successful candidates will gain experience in native ecosystem management, maintenance, and daily operations of the parks, equipment operation and maintenance, control of invasive species, and mowing of wildlife areas. 

$13.00-$17.00 per hour depending upon experience

Requirements
  • Assist staff in natural resource management, invasive species removal, timber stand improvement, and tallgrass prairie management.
  • Operate and maintain equipment, trucks, trailers, ATV, chainsaws, hand tools, etc.
  • Assist with construction projects, grounds and building maintenance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve current outdoor recreational opportunities within the county.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Certificate Needed
  • Possess or able to acquire within two weeks of hire a CDL.
