Primitive Camping

Campers must register online at My County Parks.

*As of April 1, 2024, Hardin County Conservation requires a paid permit and registration for primitive camping at the following parks; Bigelow Park, Cross' Ford River Access, David Bates Memorial Park, Eagle City Park, Iowa Falls River Access, Lepley Park, and Reece Memorial Park. The fees will be used to maintain and service these areas.

Fees:

Seasonal Permit: $100/unit per camping season (April - October each year)

Daily Permit: $10/unit per night - Daily permits are valid for the days listed in the registration form.

A unit is considered an RV/camper or tent. You may have multiple persons staying in each unit, the permit is not a per-person fee.

*Each primitive park enforces a 14-day stay limit for both daily and annual permit holders. Campers must leave the park once they reach this limit.

Register and purchase permits online at My County Parks.

Seasonal Permit Registration / Daily Permit Registration

Registration must be completed within 30 minutes of arrival. Once registered, campers will receive an email confirmation for their online payment which will serve as proof of registration.

Unregistered campers will be asked to leave. You will be considered unregistered if you do not purchase a permit and register online within 30 minutes of arrival and if you fail to report your license plate number at the time of registration.
